Description

The GYDCG-UBC1 small-size DC insulation monitor monitors the insulation resistance between the positive and negative poles and ground in 100~1000VDC floating DC systems. In a compact module it also supports charging pile voltage measurement, optional vehicle-side DC voltage monitoring and a DC capacitor discharge function, which makes it a fit for EV DC charging systems as well as photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems and DC power grids.

GYDCG-UBC1 DC Insulation Monitor features insulation monitoring start/stop control. When insulation monitoring is enabled, it can monitor the insulation resistance between the positive/negative poles and ground in real time. The monitoring results are not affected by DC voltage fluctuations or the symmetry of positive and negative insulation resistance.

What does the capacitor discharge function do?

The UBC1 integrates a DC capacitor charge-discharge function with insulation monitoring in the same small module, so the charging pile does not need a separate device for each task. Together with charging pile voltage measurement and optional vehicle-side voltage monitoring, the module covers the measurements an EV DC charging pile needs around the connection stage while the insulation monitoring function keeps watching the positive-to-ground and negative-to-ground resistance.
