Description

The GYDCG-UBCS1-60 60V DC insulation monitor measures the insulation resistance between the positive and negative poles and ground in 10~60VDC floating DC systems. It has a 0KΩ~1MΩ measuring range, RS485 communication with MODBUS RTU protocol and a built-in self-test function, and is used in EV DC charging systems, photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems and DC power grids.

GYDCG-UBCS1-60 DC Insulation Monitor features insulation monitoring start/stop control. When insulation monitoring is enabled, it can monitor the insulation resistance between the positive/negative poles and ground in real time. The monitoring results are not affected by DC voltage fluctuations or the symmetry of positive and negative insulation resistance.

When do you need a 60V DC insulation monitor?

Low-voltage DC circuits are floating too: a first insulation fault to ground does not trip a breaker and stays invisible until a second fault occurs. A monitor sized for the 10~60VDC range reads this lower voltage level with a measuring range of 0KΩ to 1MΩ, which is matched to low-voltage circuits, whereas the higher-voltage models in the series are built for 100~1000VDC systems. Readings and the reverse connection alarm are available through RS485 MODBUS RTU, so a PLC or monitoring platform can log them.
