Description

The GYDCG-UBCS1-250 250V DC insulation monitor measures the insulation resistance between the positive and negative poles and ground in 50~250VDC floating DC systems. It has a 0KΩ~1MΩ measuring range, detects DC voltage from 0 to 250VDC and communicates over RS485, for use in EV DC charging systems, photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems and DC power grids.

GYDCG-UBCS1-250 DC Insulation Monitor features insulation monitoring start/stop control. When insulation monitoring is enabled, it can monitor the insulation resistance between the positive/negative poles and ground in real time. The monitoring results are not affected by DC voltage fluctuations or the symmetry of positive and negative insulation resistance.

What does a 250V DC insulation monitor do?

On a 50~250VDC floating system, such as a DC auxiliary or control supply, neither pole is deliberately grounded. A first leak to ground does not trip a breaker, so it can stay hidden until a second fault appears on the opposite pole. The UBCS1-250 watches the insulation resistance to ground continuously and detects reversed DC polarity at connection, so installation errors and insulation loss are caught early. Readings are available over RS485.
