Description

The GYDCG-UBCW2K 2000V DC insulation monitor monitors the insulation resistance between the positive and negative poles and ground in 100~2000VDC floating DC systems. It is a high-voltage DC insulation monitor with a 0KΩ~10MΩ measuring range, a dry contact relay alarm output and RS485 MODBUS RTU communication, used in EV charging systems, photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems and DC power grids.

GYDCG-UBCW2K Series High Voltage DC Insulation Monitor

GYDCG-UBCW2K series high-voltage DC insulation monitors can monitor the insulation resistance between the positive/negative poles and ground in real time after the module is powered on and insulation monitoring is enabled. The monitoring results are not affected by DC voltage fluctuations or the symmetry of positive and negative insulation resistance.

The GYDCG-UBCW2K-RS and GYDCG-UBCW2K-RSA models support module control and data reading through RS485 communication. After power-on, the insulation monitoring function is disabled by default.

The GYDCG-UBCW2K-A (without communication) and GYDCG-UBCW2K-ARS models enable insulation monitoring by default after power-on.

Where is a 2000V DC insulation monitor used?

The UBCW2K is made for floating DC buses up to 2000Vdc, for example a 2000Vdc battery storage bus. On such a bus the first insulation fault gives no breaker trip and no visible symptom. The monitor tracks positive-to-ground and negative-to-ground insulation continuously and signals a fault through the relay output, so maintenance can be planned before a second fault creates a short circuit.
